Prada Just Dropped a Hand-Drawn Holiday Campaign
Teaming up with a renowned animator to focus on human craftsmanship, and starring Sadie Sink and Maya Hawke.
Prada is bringing some old-school magic to the festive season. For its Holiday campaign, titled “Drawing Prada,” the Italian label trades picture-perfect clichés for a whimsical world of hand-drawn illustrations and storybook fantasy. There is no AI involved in this one.
Starring a new generation of acting talent, including Stranger Things alumni Sadie Sink and Maya Hawke, alongside Chen Haoyu, Luther Ford and Kelvin Harrison Jr., the campaign blurs the boundaries between reality and imagination. Across a series of films and still images, the cast finds themselves immersed in illustrated winter wonderlands, where fantastical settings and playful animal characters bring a childlike sense of wonder to the season.
The project puts human craftsmanship firmly in the spotlight, with renowned animator John Pomeroy and his team behind the hand-drawn illustrations. Known for his work across some of cinema’s most celebrated productions, Pomeroy helps bring Prada’s imaginative landscapes to life through a tactile and human approach to animation.
Photographed by Glen Luchford, the campaign pairs the imagery with illustrated environments, carefully aligning lighting and perspective to make the two worlds feel seamlessly connected. The result nods to the charm of old Hollywood and traditional fairy tales, while reflecting Prada’s ongoing appreciation for artistry.
At a time when digital perfection dominates, “Drawing Prada” offers a reminder that some of the most magical stories are still made by hand. Check out the imagery above and head to the brand’s website for more.
