Adidas Just Launched a Bob Marley Football Apparel Collection
Blurring the lines between music, style and sport.
Joining forces with the Bob Marley Foundation, adidas has launched an apparel collection dedicated to one of music’s most distinct voices and his love of football. Inspired by archival photographs and outfits from Marley’s life, the reggae icon is immortalized in the new capsule, bringing music, fashion and sport together in one stylish package.
“Football is Freedom” is the mantra that runs through the entire collection, developed in close partnership with the foundation. Bright shades of blue, green, red and yellow inspired by Jamaica itself color the eight-piece capsule. A recurring wave motif ties the items together, flowing through jerseys, tees and shorts.
It wouldn’t be a football collection without a tracksuit. Arriving in a color-blocked style, and emerald green track jacket is paired with purple pants. On the back “Football Freedom” is printed, playing into the idea of liberation through sport.
Each piece of clothing is detailed by the adidas Originals Trefoil and “Bob” stitched onto hems and printed across chests. To complete the collection, a retro bowler bag features a “Football is Freedom” patch.
The adidas x Bob Marley Foundation collection is available to purchase now on the adidas website and select retailers.
