MAC Celebrates Its Sephora Debut With Chappell Roan
Plus Gabbriette and Quen Blackwell.
MAC Cosmetics is officially entering Sephora. In celebration of the news, the brand unveiled a star-studded campaign featuring Chappell Roan, Gabbriette and Quen Blackwell. The trio sported personalized lip combos, drawing inspiration from MAC’s ability to curate lip looks for any mood.
“With this campaign, we’re celebrating two iconic brands coming together. I wanted to highlight the true versatility of MAC. We’ve long been known for bold makeup, but that’s only part of the story,” MAC’s creative director Nicola Formichetti says in a press release. “This campaign reveals the full spectrum of who we are, from soft, barely-there everyday beauty to unapologetic, bold glam, portrayed side by side. At the center is Chappell Roan, stripped back from her theatrical signature, revealing a softer, magnetic presence that makes the contrast even more powerful.”
For Chappell Roan’s lip combo, her makeup artist Andrew Dahling applied the Lip Pencil in “Auburn” and “Stripdown” before finishing off the look with the MACximal Silky Matte Lipstick in “Marrakesh” and “Taupe.” As for Gabbriette’s look, the model sported the Lip Pencil in “Greige,” the MACximal Sleek Satin Lipstick in “Fleshpot” and the Lipglass Air in “Accolade.” Lastly, Quen Blackwell’s combo consisted of the Lip Pencil in “Chestnut,” the MACximal Silky Matte Lipstick in “Whirl” and the Lipglass in “Clear.”
