Lauren Betts Brings Old Hollywood Glamour to the WNBA Draft
Featuring a full face of NYX Professional Makeup.
In addition to being drafted by the Washington Mystics, Lauren Betts made her WNBA Draft debut wearing vintage-inspired glam executed by Keys Rebelle and NYX Professional Makeup. Completed with subtle details like bronzy cheeks, coral blush and a brown lip combo, the toasty makeup look set the tone for the rest of the high-energy night.
“Lauren’s inspiration for this makeup look was old-Hollywood glam. Her eyes are softly blended with browns and bronze for depth without heaviness and paired with a smooth, glowing foundation base that enhances her skin’s natural finish,” Betts’ makeup artist tells Hypebae. “The blush is a pink/coral tone that sits high to define the cheekbones, while the coral gloss and brown lip pencil adds a fresh pop of color. The overall look feels refined, glowing, and effortlessly elevated.”
To prep, Betts started with the Plump Right Back Primer Serum Primer, to ensure her makeup lasts throughout the draft. Next, her makeup artist applied the Bare With Me Blur Tint Foundation in “Pale” and the Wonder Snatch Loose Setting Powder in “Peach Posse” for her complexion products. After setting her brows in place with the cult-favorite Brow Glue Laminating Setting Gel, the Ultimate Shadow Palette in “Warm Neutrals” was used to achieve a brown smokey eye. Lastly, along with a coral and pink shade of the Buttermelt Pressed Powder Blush, Betts’ look was completed with the Slim Lip Pencil in Brown and the Jelly Job Full-Bodied High Shine Lip Gloss in “Jelly Squeeze.”
