adidas and Willy Chavarria's New Drop Is All About the Superstar
Introducing the “Love Prevails” collection.
Willy Chavarria’s latest collaboration with adidas Originals has just landed, and this one puts the footwear front and center. Focusing on a floral new Superstar sneaker, the “Love Prevails” collection is all about roses, streetwear and the City of Angels. Reimagining Los Angeles and Mexican-American aesthetics as always, the duo’s new releases keep the Willy Chavarria story going for the new season.
The Superstars arrive in two simple colorways, with an embossed rose detail and “Willy Chavarria” in Gothic text replacing the shoe’s signature shell toe. A classic, all-black colorway with white stripes stays true to the OG Superstar, with subtle red stitching to link it to the rest of the collection.
A contrasting, white toe cap decorates the other pair, creating a simple, two-toned look. The apparel is what we’ve come to expect from Willy Chavarria x adidas: oversized silhouettes, sportswear-inspired styles and understated color palettes.
Black, red and white make up the majority of the collection. Utilitarian aspects and cargos sit alongside baggy, longline shorts and pinstripe tracksuits. A rose detail accompanies the adidas Trefoil and Willy Chavarria lockup, with the floral embellishment acting as an emblem of romance throughout the collection.
The “Love Prevails” collection will be available to purchase starting April 18 on the adidas website.
In other news, Kiko Kostadinov and ASICS just dropped a new tabi sneaker.
