Pauline Casiño Wants You to See Her Blush From the Very Back Row

Some people search their whole lives to find their rhythm — but for Pauline Casiño, movement found her. Born and raised in Cagayan de Oro, Philippines, Casiño always held a natural love for dance, performance and music. Inspired early on by pop giants like Michael Jackson and Britney Spears, her world shifted completely when she relocated to the Bronx, New York, at age 12. Diving deep into hip-hop, house, vogue and street jazz across New York’s cultural hubs like EXPG and Broadway Dance Center, Casiño cultivated a distinct artistic vocabulary rooted in feminine flow and explosive musical dynamics.
Today, she is a globally recognized instructor and a major force in the commercial dance sector. Her resume reads like a music festival lineup, having shared stages and music video sets with the likes of Doja Cat, Tinashe, Troye Sivan, BTS, Anitta, Lisa and Tyla. In addition to a massive performance with Karol G at Coachella and a music video shoot with Peggy Gou and Ayra Starr, the multihyphenate artist is also no stranger to the theatrical world, having made her Broadway debut as an original cast member in Once Upon a One More Time.
Between grueling 12-hour rehearsals and commanding massive festival stages, the dancer requires a glam routine that won’t budge. “As a dancer, I need my makeup to last all day, from rehearsal to the stage,” Casiño tells Hypebae.
