Glossier's Latest Drop Is a Love Letter to New York City
The brand unveils a limited-edition Balm Dotcom and merch collection inspired by NYC.
Glossier‘s cult-favorite Balm Dotcom just got a New York City makeover. As a limited-edition collaboration, Glossier is dropping a fresh lineup of NYC-inspired merch in addition to a clear, apple-flavored I Love NY Balm Dotcom. Just ahead of the logo’s 50th anniversary, the capsule is an official partnership with the New York State Tourism Board.
“This collaboration is a celebration of and an ode to the home that shaped us and continues to inspire us to this day,” Glossier says in a press release. Highlighting Milton Glaser’s original 1977 design which was famously drawn during a cab ride, the collaboration emerges as a tribute to both Glossier’s NYC roots and Glaser’s quintessential motif.
The launch also includes a collection of collectible merch made to travel with you. The Applebaby Patch and Applebaby Keychain feature a tiny, tag-along New Yorker meant for hoodies, tote bags or keys. Meanwhile, the Big Apple Cotton Tee features Glossier’s “You Look Good” mantra on the front and a vintage-inspired store address on the back. Lastly, the Big Apple Sticker and Flagship Baseball Cap round out the set — with apple details and fresh typography tying the capsule together.
The I Love NY Balm Dotcom retails for $16 USD. The full collection will be available for purchase on the brand’s website starting July 14.
