Deciem Has Abruptly Shut Down Almost All of Its Stores Worldwide
Fans of the beauty brand are mourning.
It appears that Deciem has closed down its retail locations following the posting of a confusing video that the brand’s founder Brandon Truaxe shared on Instagram on Monday.
“This is the final post of Deciem, which we will shut down all operations until further notice, which will be about two months,” Truaxe is quoted in the clip. “Almost everyone at Deciem has been involved in a major criminal activity which includes financial crimes and much other. You have no idea what a solider I’ve been for more than thirteen years.”
According to Cosmopolitan, Truaxe has allegedly sent out an email to all Deciem employees on October 8 to instruct the shutting down of its U.K. stores with immediate effect, with the exception of the Spitalfields location. The stores will reportedly be reopened in “February 2019.”
A quick glance at Deciem’s store page on its website confirms that the majority of its stores have been closed abruptly, including branches in New York, Canada, Australia, South Korea and the Netherlands. In addition to the Spitalfields store in the U.K., two locations stateside (NYC Nolita and NYC Upper West Side) as well as all three of the beauty brand‘s location in Mexico appear to remain opened.
As of right now, Deciem products could still be purchased online via stockists such as Feel Unique and Cult Beauty.
