Kim Jones's First Dior Homme Campaign Features the KAWS 'BFF'
The SS19 campaign is set to release soon.
Earlier this year, Kim Jones debuted his first Dior Homme collection during Paris Fashion Week Men’s with numerous collaborations with the artist KAWS. One of the most memorable moments included the reveal of the oversized KAWS BFF statue created entirely, of pink flowers. In addition to the statue, guests left the show with a miniature plush iteration of the character.
Now, Jones has unveiled his first Dior Homme campaign. Coming as no surprise, the floral KAWS BFF appears behind models, one of which includes Prince Nikolai of Denmark. Shot by Steven Meisel the images provide a more detailed look at the fashion house’s forthcoming Spring/Summer 2019 collection. The range which is set to launch in December, is marked by pastel separates, collaborative KAWS motifs and standout sneaker silhouettes. Among the recurring KAWS-motifs, the campaign features the “Dior” letters emblazoned in the signature KAWS font and the beloved, Dior Homme bee logo revamped with “XX” eyes.
