Pat McGrath Labs Is Launching Another Limited Edition Collection for The Met

An exclusive first look at the collaboration.

Following up to their highly successful first collaboration introduced back in May, The Met Store launches yet another joint collection with Pat McGrath Labs today. Once again, the release comprises of both a cosmetic and apparel line. Dubbed “The Adorned” collection, the offering is dropping alongside The Met’s forthcoming Jewelry: The Body Transformed exhibition, slated to open on November 12. Featuring a staggering lineup of 230 items, the presentation will highlight a comprehensive anthology of headdresses, ear ornaments, brooches, belts, rings, sculptures, painting, photographs and more, all tracing from antiquity to present day.

The accompanying collection will introduce exclusive items such as a special edition palette of the makeup artist’s legendary Mothership V: Bronze Selection eyeshadow palette. Other cosmetic revamps include Lust: Gloss in “Blitz Gold” and “Aliengelic.” Along with the makeup program, the release will also include apparel arrivals such as both long- and short-sleeve tees in unisex sizing. Fans of the brand can also expect Pat McGrath’s hallmark collage-style packaging for the limited exclusives. Eight featured objects from the museum’s collection – such as an 18th-century Baroque pearl and an Edo-period Japanese lacquer comb, to name a few – will be incorporated into the artist’s distinctive punk-inspired graphics.

The new Pat McGrath Labs x The Met collection marks the first time that The Met Store has ever sold cosmetics on its website. All selections from the range are now available at The Met Fifth Avenue, online at store.metmuseum.org and patmcgrath.com. You can take a look at the full range in the gallery above.
