'To All the Boys I've Loved Before' Is Officially One of Netflix's Most Successful Original Movies
With “strong repeat viewing.”
If you haven’t already seen the much talked-about Netflix original movie, To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before, you’re in the minority. In figures released by the platform earlier this week, Netflix confirmed a whopping 80 million viewers have watched the film and other rom-coms in the “Summer of Love” genre this year. While the streaming service never really releases specific figures on individual movies and shows, it has confirmed that To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before is one of its “most viewed original films ever with strong repeat viewing.”
It’s no surprise, seeing as how the film, which is based on the YA book of the same name by Jenny Han, has been the talk of the internet since it debuted. In fact, Netflix also shared another indicator of the film’s incredible, almost overnight popularity – Instagram followers. Both Lana Condor and her co-star Noah Centineo‘s Instagram following exploding after the release; Condor’s numbers grew from 0.1 million to 5.5 million and Centineo, who’s been adorably dubbed the “internet’s boyfriend,” saw his following increase from 0.8 million to an unbelievable 13.4 million and counting.
