J.W.Anderson and Converse Team up for Another Footwear Collaboration
“Simply_Complex.”
British designer J.W. Anderson‘s last collaboration with Converse was a glittering success and it seems like the two brands will be joining forces once more – this time it includes a more unconventional silhouette.
The “Simply_Complex” collection will debut a reimagined Thunderbolt sneaker alongside the classic Chuck Taylor 70 and where last time, the focus was on on logo-mania and glittery uppers, this time the key details lie in texture and material. The Thunderbolt will arrive in two asymmetric styles – one in an on-trend raw indigo denim fabric and another in a tonal beige/light brown suede colorway.
The light tan Chuck Taylor 70s take on a “flesh out” leather effect, which means that they have a suede outer and a leather-lined inner. Alongside the regular style is a pair of calf-high lace-ups in the same colorway. To celebrate the launch of “Simply_Complex”, the brand enlisted Kids director Larry Clark to direct the trailer in Marseille, France.
