’90s apparel, accessories and footwear for women.

Vans has been a staple label on the skate scene since the ’70s and in 2018 it remains just as popular as ever. With such a storied history, the brand has an incredible amount of archives to dive into for contemporary inspiration – which is exactly what it’s done for this new Design Assembly collection.

The 25-piece womens collection comprises of apparel, accessories and footwear that merges ’90s skate and street culture with a functional, modern aesthetic. Key silhouettes include hoodies, sweatshirts and T-shirts boasting the retro “Off The Wall” Legend Stamp logo alongside sleeker silhouettes like the casual fit, cropped hoodies and T-shirts with subtle skateboard logos embroidered on the chest. The black, khaki, orange and white color palette lends a grungy, utilitarian touch to the collection, with practical accessories like backpacks, caps and socks adding to the overall practical feel.

In true Vans style, the footwear is the real focus. Six new renditions of the Sk8-Hi, Old Skool and Authentic sneakers will be available, each constructed from a heavyweight, distressed canvas and featuring oversized grommets and lacing.

Get a first-look at the collection above – it will debut in March at vans.com/women. For more from Vans, check out this SpongeBob Squarepants collaboration.
