If you’ve been looking to add to your sneaker rotation, Acne Studios has just released a handful of must-have silhouettes perfect for spring. The lineup sees the brand’s chunky Manhattan sneaker, this time with a new lacing design going diagonally across the upper. The Batilda sock runner also returns, arriving in hues of black, navy and lilac, as wells the colorful Jimmy and Joriko sneakers. The brand also introduces two new Velcro® strap shoes, the Steffey and Perey sneakers, as well as a minimal lace-up number named Lars.
The Spring/Summer 2018 campaign taps Creative Director Jonny Johansson‘s 11-year old son Tage, who cuts, rips and reimagines the silhouettes into a new creation. “It was really fun cutting up the sneakers, and almost as fun putting them back together. My designs are cool – better than dad’s originals,” said Tage, showing his DIY masterpieces. Johansson commented on the fun video, saying that, ”this is what Tage usually does to my designs. He is never completely happy with them. He always finds a way to make them his own.”
