Are NASA and Vans Collaborating on a Space-Inspired Capsule Collection?
It’s going to be outta this world.
It was only last week that Vans unveiled its partnership with London-based brand Lazy Oaf and rumors of a new collaboration are already circulating online. This time, it looks like the storied skate brand will be teaming up with none other than NASA for a space-themed collection.
Instagram user @dirtymoney823 leaked an image (that has since been removed from the platform) that seemed to depict an Old Skool silhouette. The upper seems to be constructed from distressed white leather and features a grey textile tongue, exposed foam padding and a reinforced, chunky rubber midsole. There’s also a NASA logo stamp to the lateral side and a removable, hook and loop Stars and Stripes flag motif on the heel.
According to HYPEBEAST, there’s also set to be another Old Skool sneaker released as part of the drop alongside the Sk8-Hi 46 MTE and Slip-On silhouettes. There may also be a duffel bag and backpack included in the selection, too.
The rumored release date is currently set as October 1, so stay tuned on more details. In the meantime, check out Vans’ “Flame Wall” pack.
