Vans and BAPE Team Up for a Bold, Camo-Infused Knu Skool Sneaker
The perfect streetwear crossover.
Get your closets ready, baes, because the ultimate streetwear mashup has officially arrived. Vans and BAPE are joining forces to celebrate their influence on youth and skate culture, and they’re doing it in style, reinventing one of our favorite chunky silhouettes: the premium Knu Skool.
This perfect collaboration brings a playful, maximalist spin to the low-top sneaker by merging its signature exaggerated proportions, padded collar, and oversized tongue with BAPE’s easily recognizable design language. The collection delivers striking suede overlays paired with canvas panels that are entirely wrapped in iconic BAPE patterns.
For those who love a gorgeous pop of color, the pairs are arriving in a neutral “Color Camo Black” as well as a vibrant “Color Camo” palette featuring pink, purple and green hues that are perfect for elevating your everyday rotation.
A 3D Sidestripe flawlessly fuses both brands’ globally recognized styles, while a custom, silver Ape Head lace keeper sits beautifully over wide, chunky laces. Fierce shark tooth detailing wraps around the toe, and the signature STA logo complements the upper while “A Bathing Ape” branding is subtly incorporated into the rubber sidewall. A checkerboard design decorates the outsole for a final flourish.
The Vans x BAPE Knu Skool sneaker will be available to purchase starting July 15 on the Vans website and select retailers.
In other news, UGG just launched the Dusty Orchid collection.
