Upcoming 88rising artist NIKI has dropped a new track ahead of her May EP. The Jakarta native originally gained popularity from covers that she posted online gaining over 40,000 Youtube subscribers. She’s since begun to release her own original songs that have built her a growing fanbase. The first single from her debut project Zephyr is feel-good anthem that pairs perfectly with the warm weather. “Vintage” tells a story completely different from her most recent track.
“Dancing with the Devil” is a smooth R&B tune that delves into the pull and tug of a relationship. On the hook she sings: “Oh my god, I’m so gone/I’m dancing with the devil with my high heels on, on/Unapologetic ’bout it.” In the song she continues on about the appeal of reckless love and the situation she can’t seem to resist. The cover art for the track teases what’s to come visually. She sits perched in a red bathtub with cloudy water pooling at her neckline.
