Reebok Debuts New Sock Runner Sneaker
Get the trendy look for less.
Reebok has debuted a new sock runner that is a budget-friendly and sleek. The Sock Run.r, which has a four part split-tooled outsole, is a fraction of the price of Vetements‘ own $840 USD sock runner. Though the price is significantly lower, its design is top-notch making it a definite cop.
The unisex silhouette is inspired by a 1996 PUMP EVO prototype that was never produced. Reebok took this inspiration and incorporated a deconstructed sole for a “lighter, faster and more comfortable [walking] experience.” Its upper is crafted from a black technical knit that flexes with every movement of the foot. On the calf cuff it reads “Not For Resale RBK Sample” in white to contrast the deep cover. Those who weren’t able to get their hands on the Vetements x Reebok sneaker that retails for $580 USD now have another chance to fulfill their sock runner dreams.
This colorway of the $250 USD Sock Run.r will be sold exclusively at Barney’s on May 11. A general release is scheduled for May 18 at select retailers. Take a closer look at the shoe below and also check out the brand’s spring capsule with Moscow label Walk of Shame.
