Tune Into Episode 3 of the Cult-Favorite Series 'SKAM Austin'

Debuting at the end of April is another show which enters the Gen Z mix: SKAM Austin, the English version of the Norwegian cult-favorite, SKAM. In this new series, real-time episodes feature actual teenagers and follow the main character Meghan played by Julie Rocha and her group of close friends. Executive directors of the show include Simon Fuller, Per Blankens, Julie Andem, who serves as showrunner and director (SKAM Norway) and Sarah Heyward, a previous staff writer at HBO’s Girls.
The premise behind the show is to shed a light on the real issues which teenagers face. The introduction of a unique style of digital storytelling paints this picture by way of clips, video content and screenshots of text conversations. Video clips are dropped daily on the show’s Facebook Watch page, and each Friday the clips are combined into an episode.
