COMME des GARÇONS' New Plastic Laundry Bag Is Clearly Going to Be a Hit
Chores, but make it fashion.
Not that PVC has never been used in fashion design before, but 2018 is the year that the transparent material has really made it to the mainstream. From Céline‘s plastic shopper to Prada‘s summer-ready visor hat, the industry is clearly obsessed with the trend this season. COMME des GARÇONS, which just released a logo plastic tote bag a while ago, now unveils its latest handbag design featuring the glossy material we’ve all come to love.
As part of the COMME des GARÇONS SHIRT line, the new bag combines both the PVC trend as well as the laundry bag design that took over in 2017 (remember the IKEA FRAKTA craze that birthed DIY items from caps to bralettes?) Arriving in two colorways, including “red/yellow/blue/white” and a “yellow/green” iteration, the top handle bag comes wrapped in clear plastic and is emblazoned with the COMME des GARÇONS SHIRT logo on the front.
