Backstage at Kim Jones and Dior Homme Reveals Exclusive Look at KAWS' Pink 'BFF'
Alongside jewelry by Yoon and new logo sneakers and handbags.
Kim Jones presented his debut collection with Dior Homme earlier at Paris Fashion Week Men’s, in collaboration with KAWS. KAWS’ signature work rang throughout the collection, in the keychains hung on new bags – where a pink BFF hitched a ride – to bumblebee patches.
Upon closer inspection while backstage, logo sneakers debuted on Converse-like high-tops and Dad-like runners. Jones played with transparency allowing the logo to peer out beneath mesh panels and a light, criss-cross overlay on the latter.
Having tapped AMBUSH’s Yoon to design the jewelry – teased earlier on Kim Kardashian & Kristen Noel Crawley – statement hardware was nothing but expected. Models wore buckled cap straps, belts and the brand’s iconic-Saddle bag, alongside logo jewelry, including rings spelling out “CD.” Matthew Williams also worked with Kim Jones iconic 1017 ALYX 9SM hardware.
