SHUSHU/TONG's Fall/Winter 2018 Campaign Is a Quirky Dream
Inspired by school uniforms around the world.
For SHUSHU/TONG‘s latest collection, design duo Lei Liushu and Jiang Yutong frew inspiration from the “quirky girls.” The sensible, geeky and chic ladies full of personality became the center of the collection, which also looked into Chinese school uniforms from the ’40s as well as public school uniforms from the UK.
Featuring knitwear and cashmere, as well as tailored skirts and blazers, the campaign sees unique mixing and matching of prints and color. Form bowknot designs to check-print pieces, it is clear that SHUSHU/TONG focused on creating a collection that shows a streamlined aesthetic throughout. The designers also described that, “as a part of the design, clips on coats, knitwear and trousers can be removed or played around, a touch of D.I.Y spirit for the wearer,” adding to the quirky feel of the Fall/Winter range.
