Converse is definitely no stranger to collaborations, having already released – just this year alone – such collections as ones with longtime collaborator JW Anderson, as well as emerging Korean streetwear boutique Kasina. For its latest collaborative project, the footwear giant has revealed an all-new Chuck Taylor All Star range starring BT21: a new series of characters created by LINE FRIENDS in collaboration with beloved K-Pop group BTS. BT21 includes eight different characters: Tata, Van, RJ, Chimmy, Cooky, Mang, Shooky and Koya. Each lovable persona has its own unique personality, but all share a collective goal to become intergalactic Universtars.

Included in the program are reworks of the classic Chuck Taylor All Star Hi silhouette, as well as two iterations of the Chuck Taylor All Star Ox model. The high-top arrives in “Black,” while the low-tops are offered in both black and “Optical White” colorways. For the white versions, an allover BT21 print is rendered in an array of vibrant colors, while the black trainers showcase the same motif in monochromatic white. Each pair of sneakers also comes with a set of colorful shoelaces: one is blue with yellow polka dots, while the other is its inverted version of yellow with blue polka dots.

The BT21 x Converse collection will drop on July 27 at select Converse stores in Hong Kong. The Chuck Taylor Hi will retail at $699 HKD (approximately $90 USD), while the Chuck Taylor Ox models will retail at $669 HKD (approximately $86 USD).

To see more from Converse, don’t miss its latest release of pastel ombré Chuck Taylor sneakers.
