EXO's Baekhyun, Chen and Xiumin Announce Sneaker Collaboration
Members from Girls’ Generation will also design their own sneakers.
Having already taken a closer look at Baekhyun’s first Privé by BBH collection, the K-pop idol now announces yet another fashion endeavor. This time around, the EXO member joins forces with his fellow bandmates Chen and Xiumin for a sneaker collaboration with YSNEAKERS and ASTELL & ASPR. Also included in the collaborative effort are members from SM Entertainment label mates, Girls’ Generation – Taeyeon, Sunny, Yuri and Hyoyeon.
Known as an online made-to-order footwear brand, recently launched YSNEAKERS provides the perfect medium for each idol to create their own unique interpretations of an ideal sneaker. Utilizing quality Italian leather and an array of other premium fabrics, each shoe utilizes high quality, shoemaking techniques to craft each unique design. Additional elements found on each shoe include a fibre-reinforced heel counter, a forged midsole steel shank and a cowhide inner lining.
Each K-pop star will design two pairs of sneakers: one low-top and one high-top. There will be a limited run of 1,000 pairs per design, which will be sold globally. Pre-orders will take place on July 25, with the collaboration’s launch slated for August 16. Although details are still sparse regarding what each sneaker will look like, stay tuned here as we find out more.
