KAWS Has Installed His First 'Companion' Sculpture in South Korea

Add this location to your summer trip list.

KAWS has installed his latest large Companion figure in Seoul, South Korea. The new piece has been erected at the I-Park apartment complex near Korea’s Gwanggyo Lake Park. This installation marks the first large-scale project for the Brooklyn-based artists in Korea.

The art was purchased from Galerie Perrotin and seen usually at KAWS’s “Where The End” starts exhibition. This is his second project to launch in South Korea, following the AllRightsReserved giant floating figure that will be placed into Seokchon Lake from July 19 to August 19.
