Nike Releases Touching Film Highlighting Serena Williams and Her Father

Nike has debuted a new short film highlighting the relationship between tennis champion Serena Williams and her father/former coach Richard Williams.

The short clip seamlessly merges archival footage from Williams’ childhood with more recent shots of her career-building matches. Her father’s encouraging words serve as the voiceover for the video as we watch Serena train on the courts of Compton, California. Having won 23 Grand Slam titles and six U.S. Opens, Williams legacy in the sport has already been solidified as foretold by her father. This clip will be airing on ESPN during the U.S. Open which begins tonight.
