The adidas Originals Continental 80 Goes Chic for Its Latest Faux Python Skin Rework
Two new colorways for your sneaker rotation.
Having just debuted an icy “Aero Blue” colorway, the crowd-favorite adidas Originals Continental 80 now returns with even more iterations. This time around, the revived OG trainer is reworked in faux python skin, available in two different colorways. In complete contrast to the previous arrivals that leaned towards a more minimalistic aesthetic with leather-constructed uppers, the new offerings boast a unique texture on the upper.
For the “Core Black” colorway, the entire upper is rendered with the reptilian material. A suede mudguard adds a different texture to the shoe, as does the smooth leather used for the heel tab. As a contrast to the obsidian palette, a classic gum outsole is used alongside a crisp white midsole. Rounding off the look is a dual-toned stripe in light and dark grey that runs at a diagonal down the side panel. Built with similar construction, the “Chalk White” version in the release sports almost identical details, albeit in a lighter combination of colors.
You can take a closer look at both versions of the new faux python skin reworks of the adidas Originals Continental 80. Both the “Core Black” and “Chalk White” pairs are available now at adidas.com, retailing for $120 USD.
