Have You Seen FILA's Fashion-Week Themed Disruptor 2?
Step out in style.
UPDATE: The Paris Fashion Week-inspired Disruptor 2 is available at Foot Locker, priced £95 GBP (approx. $125 USD).
FILA‘s chunky Disruptor 2 sneaker has come in many variations; from shiny silver to pastel pink and even a literal sandal version. The newest update, however, is an obvious reference to fashion season as they come emblazoned with the names of the “Big Four” cities that inspire trends across the globe.
So far, it seems only New York, London and Milan have received the accolade of having a Disruptor 2 pay tribute to their sartorial prowess, although it’s likely Paris will join them as its own fashion week comes to a close. The silhouette is very much true to the original iteration; the white leather upper features tonal panels on the lateral and embroidered FILA branding on the tongue in the brand’s signature navy blue and red hues. Upon the sidewall the name of each respective city is scrawled in cursive embroidery and a trademark emblem of each of them appears on the back. For New York, it’s the Empire State Building, Milan has it’s renowned Duomo and London features Big Ben. True to Disruptor 2 style, the sneakers are rounded off with a bulky, ’90s midsole in white and gum outsole.
