EXCLUSIVE: A Backstage Look At Off-White™'s SS19 "Track & Field" Fittings
Featuring a closer peek at the label’s Nike collaboration.
Virgil Abloh‘s latest Off-White™ presentation at Paris Fashion Week officially wrapped up on Thursday evening local time. The highly anticipated Spring/Summer 2019 collection was teased a few times via Instagram and Twitter. The runway show which followed a “Track & Field” theme featured a deep dive into sportswear, of course, and included a fusion of streetwear and high fashion. Before the show premiered, we received a backstage look at the SS19 fittings.
Abloh usually has a few tricks of his sleeve in terms of aesthetics. At the fittings, the looks were filled with strong athleisure inclinations. In particular, a standout pairing which caught our eye was a neon yellow snakeskin jacket and short set worn with the collaborative Off White™ x Nike React Vapor Street Flyknit design. Worn by Hong Kong high jumper Cecilia Yeung, the look featured clean tailoring and was topped off by a matching belt. Yeung was the sole Asian athlete chosen to model the collection.
Other head-turning pieces included bomber jackets and suit separates seen on racks. Bella Hadid was even spotted donning a chic white top.
