Following it’s all-blue collaboration with Tiffany & Co., heritage luggage brand Globe-Trotter has teamed up with Gucci on a slick suitcase that’s ideal for all you jet-setters that like the luxurious approach to travel.
The 30” suitcase has a black leather finish, with vintage-inspired details throughout. For practicality, there’s a retractable handle and four wheels, so you can navigate airports with ease. Bringing Gucci’s elegant house style to the look are the signature green and red stripes on the outer, red satin lining within and engraved clasps. Discussing the collaboration Charlotte Seddon, designer at Globe-Trotter, shared:
“Gucci’s eclectic aesthetic has really challenged us in the best possible way. This project has become not only about translating Alessandro’s ideas for how the luggage should look and feel, but also about how to achieve this technically. In the end it has led us to develop our first ever four-wheeled case along with innovative digital printing techniques that we’ve never tried before. We’ve also used bamboo as a material for the first time – in the vanity case handles – as bamboo has long been a Gucci signature.”
