EXCLUSIVE: A Backstage Look at Off-White™’s Fall/Winter 2019 Collection
The range is also headlined by stunning womenswear looks.
Virgil Abloh has debuted Off-White™‘s Fall/Winter 2019 range during day two of Paris Fashion Week. The collection which was aptly titled “Public Television” was directly inspired by the broadcast television industry. This was seen thematically as the show’s soundtrack kicked off with the iconic television host Mr. Rogers.
In theory, Abloh typically takes a theme and runs with it, leaving no room for debate. For his FW19 range, the designer presented a vivid arrangement of striking coats, graphic sweaters and neon separates. In typical Off-White™ fashion, it was a star-studded presentation which included Offset and Playboi Carti.
Notable separates in the collection included the womenswear pieces like a well-cut denim jacket and matching trousers, or a chic extra large white collared shirt. Other staples included the menswear which can easily pass as unisex pieces: the oversized lavender puffer worn by Offset and the neon suiting. The range also flexed Abloh’s soft spot for striking silhouettes, floral motifs and eccentric accessories.
