East Meets West for The Private Label's "Collection 3"
Featuring plenty of new additions inspired by traditional Asian silhouettes.
Just in time for Lunar New Year, Hong Kong-based brand The Private Label unveils its “Collection 3” lookbook. First founded in 2016, the burgeoning brand has become known for its strong ties to music and contemporary culture. As a unisex line, the imprint focuses on aesthetics and quality that transcend gender boundaries. By mixing traditional silhouettes with a distinctly modern fit, the label incorporates a stylish avant-garde touch to its roster of street-ready pieces.
For its latest program, The Private Label introduces an array of garments that highlight culturally significant Asian elements, such as mandarin buttons and belted shirts. Playing with a variety of different textures, colors and fabrics, the resulting collection is filled with a balanced mix of both statement and essential wardrobe must-haves. This time around, the label also expands into blazer jackets, overcoats and windbreaker jackets, inspired by the meeting of Eastern and Western heritage.
Highlights in the offering include The Watchman Jacket, which is a tribute to the uniforms of night guards and janitors in the Asia region – constructed with a melange of water-repellent textiles – as well as The Drizzle Pant, which showcases an adjustable waist and rain-ready drawstrings at the ankles to adapt to Asia’s oscillating weather patterns.
