You Can Now Mute Artists on Spotify

As a part of the company’s “Hateful Conduct” policy.

Following Spotify‘s introduction of the “Hateful Conduct” policy last year, the music streaming platform is now rolling out a new feature that allows users to completely mute chosen artists.

The previous “Hateful Conduct” policy removed artists like XXXTentacion and R. Kelly from playlists and promotional materials due to moral reasons, and Spotify is taking it even further by adding the new feature. To access the “mute” option, head to the artists’ page and press the “…” option, and “Don’t play this artist” will appear as an option.
