Y-3's SS19 Campaign Focuses on Fluidity and Versatility
Filled with casual pieces for everyday wear.
Yohji Yamamoto‘s imprint Y-3 has officially presented its Spring/Summer 2019 campaign shot by Angelo Pennetta. Styled by Haley Wollens, the imagery was shot at a shipyard in Los Angeles.
The vibrant photography focuses on the line’s seasonal adaptation of “innovation, technology and functionality,” capturing the fluidity and versatility of the entire range. The collection distinctly features lighter-than-lightweight apparel and footwear.
In an official statement, Y-3 shared the premise behind the latest pieces and the accompanying images:
“The Spring/Summer 2019 campaign captures some of the season’s most directional pieces. The imagery is rendered in a casual, offhand aesthetic that contrasts with the fluidity of the clothing. The sun-bleached primary colors of rusted equipment bring focus to the campaign’s black-and-white apparel and footwear. Presented editorial-style, each photograph distills the essence of the season on its own.”
The Y-3 SS19 collection will be available at Y-3 flagship stores and the brand’s official web store on January 7.
