Louis Vuitton's Monogram Eclipse Bags Are Must-Haves This Fall

The Virgil Abloh-designed pieces are finally available.

UPDATE (October 15 , 2019):  Louis Vuitton’s “The New Classics” collection designed by Virgil Abloh will be available starting October 18 online at in-store.

Just in time for fall, Louis Vuitton is releasing its new Monogram Eclipse collection featuring four classic silhouettes. Designed by Virgil Abloh, the new range is made up of four bags that “reinvent the concept of leather goods,” and includes the styles Steamer PM, Soft Trunk, Mini Soft Trunk as well as the Pochette Volga.

Each piece arrives in Louis Vuitton’s signature monogram print in black and grey, and features key elements from Virgil’s design, like his iconic chain-inspired straps. The Steamer bag, originally created in 1901, has been reinterpreted as a new piece that combines fashion with function, and is ideal for business as well as style. Abloh’s Soft Trunk also returns with a detachable shoulder strap, and the shapely bag emphasizes Louis Vuitton’s impeccable trunk-making, and is available in two sizes. Lastly, the Pochette bag is a hybrid design which boasts a detachable chain handle that can be used as either a bag or wallet.

The Louis Vuitton Monogram Eclipse range will be available this fall at LV stores world-wide. The menswear range will feature the four new silhouettes, and will be returning for all of Virgil Abloh’s upcoming collections for the label.
