Ahluwalia Just Debuted Its Latest PUMA Collaboration for SS27
Taking place at London Fashion Week.
Ahluwalia just teased its newest collaboration with PUMA on the runway at London Fashion Week. Debuting as part of the brand’s Spring/Summer 2027 collection, the collaboration includes a reworked T7 track jacket, knitted football tops and knitted dresses, along with Ahluwalia Speedcats in new colorways and a first-time footwear silhouette, arriving in black and silver.
As a whole, the “Revel” collection reimagines joy as an act of resistance, positions self-care as a protective barrier and kindness as a necessary form of community-building. Taking inspiration from FESTAC ‘77, a pan-African music and art festival in Lagos, SS27 blends the sounds of Nigerian musician and activist Fela Kuti with Mumbai’s burgeoning rap scene.
Each season features a series of key colorways, and for SS27, hues of rust, bright poppy red and dark green grounded the collection, interspersed with the brand’s signature denim silhouettes. Eveningwear makes a welcome return, juxtaposing the sporty track jackets and football tops, and comes in the form of cut-out gowns, puffball tops and playful fringing.
The collection also explored the idea of protection through the use of water-resistant fabrics and debossed surfaces, layering translucent organzas under and over heavy fabrics.
Along with the brand’s PUMA collaboration, SS27 also debuted a new collaboration with drinks brand poppi, resulting in a limited-edition bag charm collection made from glass and precious stone beads. The final collaboration came in the form of a bespoke mural, designed with Calico Wallpaper, which took inspiration from “the movement of water and the cultural landscapes it connects,” according to the brand’s press release.
