Hello Kitty Gets the Swarovski Treatment With Collection of Decorative Crystals
A glittery update for Sanrio.
Luxe crystal cutter Swarovski has released a series of objects including paperweights and decorative statuettes, depicting Hello Kitty and her companion, Dear Daniel. The collection, perfect for collectors and fans alike, is available online now.
Fashion’s favorite cat — who apparently isn’t a cat at all, according to Sanrio — poses holding a balloon and red apple in two different paperweight styles. One of two statuettes renders Hello Kitty pulling a tiny suitcase. The other, a prime choice for Valentine’s Day, depicts Hello Kitty and Dear Daniel holding a bright red heart. Two limited edition objects (only 150 of both were made) are also part of the range – one features Hello Kitty and Dear Daniel riding a motorcycle and the other realizes Hello Kitty as a princess. Both glitter with over 20,000 Swarovski crystal rhinestones and are packaged in a premium suitcase.
