These Were Netflix's 10 Most-Watched Originals This Year
‘Stranger Things’ snags the top spot, with over 64 million views.
The year is slowly but surely coming to an end, and throughout 2019, we’ve seen streaming platform Netflix debut new TV shows, movies and more content than ever. Series like Stranger Things and Big Mouth have already been renewed for a handful of seasons, and the platform has also introduced shows in different languages, such as the Swedish drama Quicksand, or the Spanish La Casa de Papel.
If you’ve been wondering which shows were the most viewed this year, Netflix has just released its list of the top ten most viewed TV series this year. Unsurprisingly, Stranger Things snags the top spot with over 64 million views, followed by Umbrella Academy which lands at 45 million. Other notable shows are the British comedy Sex Education, as well as popular series Elite.
