Nike's Latest Air Force 1 "Day of the Dead" Celebrates Dia De Los Muertos
Inspired by the Mexican holiday.
Following the release of its NBA-inspired Air Force 1s earlier this week, Nike is back with another iteration of the signature classic, this time celebrating the Mexican holiday Dia De Los Muertos, or “Day of The Dead.” Inspired by the Mexican tradition which pays homage and honors those who have passed away, the AF1 sneaker sports vibrant colors as well as skull graphics throughout.
The classic silhouette sees an all-white upper contrasted by piping in yellow, green, blue, pink and black, and also sports a black heel tab and stitching across the midsole. In addition, once the shoe is in the dark, it reveals a skull pattern that is fully reflective throughout the entire upper.
Dia De Los Muertos celebrations run from October 31 through November 2, and the Nike Air Force 1 will drop at retailers like Sneakersnstuff and nike.com on October 15. Priced at $100 USD, the sneakers are the ultimate day-to-day shoe to add to your rotation.
