UPDATE (December 3, 2019): Pirelli has released all the images from its much-anticipated 2020 calendar. Titled “Looking for Juliet,” the romantic, Shakespeare-inspired lineup features celebrities including the iconic Emma Watson, star of this year’s Charlie’s Angels reboot Kristen Stewart, breakout singer Rosalía and more. ORIGINAL STORY (August 3, 2019): Official backstage photos for the new Pirelli Calendar have been unveiled and we can’t wait for the final shots to debut. The 2020 Pirelli Calendar, lensed by Paolo Roversi, is titled “Looking for Juliet” and features a variety of actresses and singers from diverse cultural backgrounds who have been invited to embody the theme of love, strength, youth and beauty.

Drawing inspiration from the Shakespearean drama’s female protagonist, Roversi’s project took place in the beautiful cities of Paris and Verona in the span of a week. The Italian fashion photographer chose nine personalities – Claire Foy, Mia Goth, Emma Watson, Indya Moore, Yara Shahidi, Kristen Stewart, Chris Lee, Rosalía, and Stella Roversi – to portray the role of Juliet.

The talented array of women that have been selected for this shoot were asked to present the role of Juliet through their own emotion, personality, character and interpretation of the role. “I am still searching for my Juliet and I will be searching all my life. Because Juliet is a dream,” Roversi said.

Take a look at the stunning backstage images, shot by Alessandro Scotti above as we wait for the final calendar to launch in October.
