Ella Mai Accompanies Usher on New Single "Don't Waste My Time"
Usher’s first new release since 2018.
Hip-hop veteran Usher is back with a new single, “Don’t Waste My Time.” His first release since dropping surprise album A in 2018, the track features British R&B singer Ella Mai. The two serenade each other over a ’90s-inspired beat set to a chorus pleading, “Reach out, and you’ll touch me / Bad habits, don’t judge me / Just don’t waste my time.”
The single was co-produced by rapper Jermaine Dupri, who is rumored to be working with Usher on an upcoming album, Confessions 2, a follow-up to 2004’s Confessions. Ella Mai, who quickly rose to fame following the release of her debut album, snagged a Grammy nomination for Best R&B Album this year.
