BAPE's New Sakura Collection Is Inspired by Cherry Blossom Blooms
The Ape Head is covered in pink petals.
In honor of Japan’s upcoming cherry blossom season, BAPE has debuted its Sakura collection. T-shirts, souvenir jackets, sweatshirts and hats will be covered in the beautiful pink flower petals that cover the country during the spring. To tease the upcoming range, the streetwear stronghold released a photo of the Sakura hoodie which is colored a millennial pink hue. We see tiger and shark graphics on its hood in true BAPE fashion. Other items like the tees and shorts are stamped with the iconic Ape Head imagery. Pink petals surround the figure adding a festive flair. The BAPE text logo is transformed using calligraphy to highlight the cultural significance of the cherry blossom blooms.
