
Chanel Commemorates Karl Lagerfeld's Legacy With a Podcast From His Final Interviews
An intimate podcast with the Kaiser himself.
Karl Lagerfeld will forever be remembered as an icon, a true visionary and one of the most prolific designers to ever exist. In the wake of the longtime, creative director’s passing, Chanel is honoring and paying tribute to the beloved designer by introducing the Métier Class podcast in collaboration with Monocle and Tyler Brûlé. To offer a keen look into the mind, creative process and heightened enlightenment of Karl Lagerfeld Chanel has unveiled its new 3.55 podcast that features one of Lagerfeld’s last interviews to date and features four, unique recorded conversations with the four main personalities of the House.
In episode one, Tyler Brûlé candidly sat down with Lagerfeld to discuss how he reimagined the House of Chanel when he became the creative director in 1983, how he sought to redefine the codes that Gabrielle Chanel had set and his never-ending quest, for true creativity. To continue the new chapter of Chanel’s podcast, you can also expect to hear candid interviews with Lagerfeld and Bruno Pavlovsky, President of Chanel Fashion, Amanda Harlech, who aided and acted as a consultant, and Pharrell Williams, the House Ambassador.
