A Closer Look at Louis Vuitton's $10,000 USD Backpack
Go big or go home?
Yes, you read that right. Only weeks ago Virgil Abloh presented his sophomore collection for Louis Vuitton at Paris Fashion Week Men’s, showcasing a range of pieces inspired by music, streetwear and LV’s heritage. Now, we’re taking a look at the collection’s accessories, with a focus on the over-sized backpacks Abloh brought down the runway.
The enormous bag is crafted from a grey fleece material which was also seen throughout the Fall/Winter 2019 range on everything from sneakers to bulky outerwear. Emblazoned with a chunky Louis Vuitton monogram pattern, the massive carryall bag sports two big pockets at side, a top flap closure as well as dangling straps throughout. To finish off the piece, an LV logo keychain is added in a silver hardware to add a luxury touch to the bag. But don’t get too excited, the huge piece retails at a jaw-dropping $10,000 USD.
In addition to the backpack, the collection also includes a Louis Vuitton Jenga set which retails at an affordable $2,000 USD, coming with transparent blocks in red, blue and transparent hues with LV branding across. Get a closer look at the backpack in the gallery above, and see the Jenga set in-action below. To refresh your mind, take another look at Virgil Abloh’s Fall/Winter 2019 range for Louis Vuitton here.
