Here's Your First Official Look at the GANNI x 66°North SS19 Jacket Collabs

Outerwear that’s perfect for the transitional weather.

Danish superbrand GANNI teased a collaboration with heritage Icelandic outerwear label 66°North during its SS19 runway show at Copenhagen Fashion Week. Now, the four-piece collection is finally available to purchase and it’s perfect timing for the current transitional spring weather.

Combining GANNI’s design sensibilities with 66°North‘s practical approach to apparel that’s created specifically for temperamental elements, the lineup is full of statement-making pieces. First up, there’s the cozy sleeveless vest that’s constructed patchwork-style with panels of blue and burgundy fleece and completed with zip-up fastening and branded patch on the chest.

Next, there the smooth matte jacket in deep green and burgundy which has reflective stripes across the chest, shoulders and sleeves. It includes adjustable cuffs and wide black belt around the waist, so you can customize the fit according to how you feel on the day. For those who prefer a longer jacket, there’s one available in a style that’s split into thirds, with navy at the top, crisp white in the middle and large black segment on the lower half.

Rounding out the range, there’s the technical jacket in khaki with panels of highlighter yellow that add a high-fashion pop to the piece. It boasts deep pockets so you can go bag-free and an adjustable drawstring that’s woven through the waist, allowing you to alter the silhouette.

Discussing the partnership GANNI Creative Director Ditte Reffstrup shared “I love working with contrasts, it’s part of our DNA, so working with the 66°North design team to create these amazing technical pieces brings a great counterpoint to the SS19 collection.” Helgi Rúnar Óskarsson, CEO of 66°North also commented on this unique, first-time collab, stating:

“To us, GANNI is an aspirational brand that has achieved amazing success in the women’s contemporary space. The fact that both GANNI and 66°North are Nordic brands expanding globally, provides both a unique opportunity to bring each other’s energy and strengths to the table and explore new territories. Each technical style in the collaboration has its own background and is inspired by the strong heritage of both brands.”
