UPDATE: Nike’s female-designed “London Summer of Love” Air Max 97 have officially dropped. If you’re looking to get your hands on them, head over to Nike’s SNKRS app, on size?’s previews app and in-store at select size? storefronts. The kicks prices out at $200 USD.
Nike has officially unveiled the final design of its “London Summer of Love” Air Max 97. The silhouette was created by Jasmine Lasode, alongside her mentor Alexandra Hackett after she took a trip to Nike’s Portland headquarters last year.
Detailing on the sneakers includes a fusion of bold colors, like orange, deep green, volt, blue and yellow throughout the upper’s striped construction. Additionally, a yellow and red gradient pattern is seen on the classic Air unit. The word “97P” is stamped across the lateral, while “Good Chat” is strategically placed on the heel tabs.
Nike’s “London Summer of Love” Air Max 97 is one of the six designs that make up the “On Air” contest. At the moment, there is no official release date but is slated to launch at select Nike retailers and nike.com, at $160 USD in April. Stay tuned here as further details emerge.
