You Showed Us 14 Ways to Wear Nikes on Air Max Day 2019
Our Air Max Day photo series is a compilation of candid snapshots of Toronto sneakerheads.
How do you wear your Nikes? With that question in mind, we’ve asked Toronto-based photographer Jonathon Smith to take to the streets of his city and to document how local sneaker enthusiasts rock their favorite Swoosh runners.
Shot on 35mm film, our Air Max Day 2019 photo series is a true celebration of authentic and experimental personal style. From the retro Air Max 180 “Ultramarine/Solar Red” and the cult-loved Air Max 97 “Silver Bullet,” to the girly Air Max 95 “Particle Rose” and the ever-so-comfortable Air VaporMax “Arctic Pink,” sneakerheads of the Canadian metropolis are spotted with some of the most iconic Nike Air Max silhouettes, both old and new.
It becomes quite clear that there’s no one way to style these sneakers – these Nike shoes are timeless, versatile and are designed to work with your own unique personality. We even ran into some familiar faces including creative consultant Anna Bediones, DJ Jayemkayem, as well as the joy-spreading dancer you’ve seen and liked on Instagram, Donté Colley.
