Paco Rabanne Reinvents the Graphic Tee for SS19 in Collaboration with Peter Saville
The unisex capsule collection is next-level.
Since taking the helm at Paco Rabanne in 2014, Julien Dossena has been successful in reviving the storied label by infusing his collections with a modern sensibility that pays homage to the legacy the futuristic brand has built. Building off of the fashion house’s success and momentum from recent capsule collections, Paco Rabanne has once again partnered with Peter Saville, the English art director and graphic artist, responsible for conceiving a limited-edition line of graphic tees for the third installment of their Spring/Summer 2019 collaboration.
Drawing upon Saville’s legendary career in graphic design, the unisex capsule collection features two newly devised graphic T-shirts, that draw upon the complementary ideas of self-discovery and escape. Set against a cloudy purple, tie-dye print backdrop, graphic phrases such as “Lose Yourself” are incorporated into the mix and is cast onto a cotton jersey top that twists and gathers towards a waistline ring. “Mysticism,” a word that is open to interpretation and experience, is also emblazoned onto a black T-shirt and fleece sweatshirt, which features a staggered double sphere suggesting an eclipse or a cosmic moment symbolizing universal alignment.
