Y-3's New Capsule Collection "Yohji Love" Features Graphic-Heavy Classics

Yohji Yamamoto has finally unveiled the latest Y-3 capsule titled “Yohji Love.” Inspired by the adidas archives of the ’80s, the Spring/Summer 2019 range combines a cursive hand-painted style “Love, Yohji Yamamoto” graphic with the Three Stripes synonymous with the collaborative collection.
For SS19, the collab features a range of apparel, accessories and sneakers. Two footwear silhouettes include the Y-3 YOHJI SUPER’s in black and white made with contrasting calligraphy along its toe box. Without stripes, the modern adidas Superstar 80s feature bold Y-3 branding on the heel tab, an embossed Y-3 logo on the sleek leather tongue, and lastly, it comes with a leather shell-toe.
Additional standouts in the lineup include archival adidas pieces reimagined like the California Tee and the Firebird Jacket. Other separates also serve as reissues of best-selling Y-3 styles such as women’s essentials and unisex bags. Two bags in particular, a drawstring backpack and a spacious tote both were created with detailed graphics.
