If you’ve missed the first day of the annual event that brings together cinephiles and some of the industry’s most revered filmmakers, here’s a summary of what went down: at the premiere of her new movie The Dead Don’t Die, Selena Gomez made her Cannes debut in a white bustier and skirt, with her face glammed up by celebrity makeup artist Hung Vanngo. Alessandra Ambrosio as well as K-pop star and actress Jessica Jung also attended the screening, both styled in angelic gowns designed with feather trims.
As the youngest juror in Cannes history, Elle Fanning turned heads in the grandest of gowns. From a champagne-hued Gucci cape-dress, to a floral patterned Valentino haute couture creation, the 21-year-old has surely made jury duty a fashionable affair.
Then there’s the Les Miserables premiere, where we spotted the likes of Kiko Mizuhara and Amber Heard. The Tokyo-based model and actress graced the red carpet in an almond green couture gown by Dior, while the Aquaman star was seen in a belted, sequinned dress.
Of course, it wouldn’t be Cannes without the parties and events outside of the movie screenings. Later in the evening of Wednesday, Cannes regular Bella Hadid served up ballerina vibes at the Dior x Vogue Paris dinner, where she’s seen sporting a nude, off-the-shoulder top and a color-matching skirt.
A day later, the supermodel was also outfitted by Dior for the Rocketman red carpet. Wearing her signature updo, the runway darling looked as elegant as ever in a ruffled tulle gown. Priyanka Chopra, who’s dressed in a sparkly, curve-hugging tube dress, was also present at the screening.
